Overhauls/Rebuilds
Our ability to overhaul major equipment efficiently is the result of many years of experience in this field. The overhaul of major equipment is supplemented by the specialised facilities for overhauling power train and hydraulic components.
The overhaul procedure of major equipment is controlled by firm scheduling, which maximises labour utilisation and controls delivery objectives. Throughout the overhaul process, regular reports and inspections are carried out in conjunction with customer representatives to ensure peace of mind and optimum value to the end user.
Before any overhaul is undertaken, all improvements or modifications that can be carried out to give enhanced performance, reduced operating costs or improved reliability during the machines second life are investigated to bring the machine to the latest OEM specifications. Our in house engineering capabilities ensure any customer requested modifications are met and engineered to Australian Standards and mine specs.
The performance guaranteed overhaul offers a very economic alternative to machine replacement and allows our clients to continue to use their current equipment knowledge, tooling and spare parts holdings into the future, rather than having to retrain their personnel, retool their workshops and purchase a complete new spare parts holding.
Component Reconditioning and Dyno Testing
Our component reconditioning facility is fully equipped to cater for all makes of power train and hydraulic components and is complimented by engine and transmission dyno testing facilities. OEM parts are used in all overhauls to ensure optimum life is achieved with OEM re-use specifications and overhaul procedures followed. All component overhauls are warranted and backed by our service support.
Reconditioned Exchange Components
In certain applications, exchange components are available to reduce our customers down time by having an exchange component ready for change out. This facilitates planned maintenance programmes and ensures minimum down time under breakdown conditions. All exchange components are overhauled to the same standard and backed by MES component warranty.
Mobile Line Bore and Machine shop
The company also provides a full CNC machine shop facility for precision machining jobs big or small and offers an in house or mobile line bore service. Our mobile line bore truck is fully equipped to handle the largest jobs and is available for site requirements.
Fabrication and Engineering shop
Many customers require site specific additions or customisations to their machines in order to meet a specific job set or adhere to site requirements. MES has the ability to design, engineer, and fully document any modifications in order to meet Australian standards and mine specs from handrails and platforms to major modifications, and fabricate in house.
Painting and Machine Preservation
The Company specialises and has many years experience in preparing and painting machines for the salt and underground environments to ensure preservation and maximum value is received from your machine. This process has been tried and tested in the harsh Australian conditions experienced in salt mining and is also available as an option to protect new machines without the need for a machine strip down.
